TikTok's Uncertainty: Is This A Wake Up Call For Brands & Creators?
Blog Post
TikTok is still unavailable on the app store or Google Play Store, after Donald Trump’s 75-day extension period order.
Google, Apple, and TikTok have not provided any official response to the popular Chinese video-sharing app’s unavailability in the US.
This creates an atmosphere of uncertainty and doubt among 7 million brands & creators who rely on TikTok to showcase their videos and market their products. As of Q2 2024, TikTok has 120.5 million active users in the US only.
The main question: Is TikTok still a reliable platform for sharing videos and engaging with your target audiences?
With mounting regulatory pressures, national security concerns, and the looming possibility of a ban, the platform’s future is anything but certain after 75 days.
For brands and creators who have built their audiences and businesses on TikTok, this uncertainty is a wake-up call to move out of TikTok and invest towards the certainty of having your own video platform very similar to TikTok, at a price you can easily pay every month.
